Christmas Carols for the Piano

An unusual setting for a recital of Christmas carols, Tom will be performing in a fish and chip shop. This is all in preparation for his opera, "John's Plaice" that will be set in a fish and chip shop in 2017.

Michael Finnissy performs Tom Armitage's Nocturne No. 2 and a World-Premiere  

Birmingham Conservatoire welcome leading composer/pianist, Michael Finnissy on 15-17th December. Michael gave the world-premiere of Tom Armitage's 'Nocturne No. 2: Ar em al freg temp vengut' at the University Centre Doncaster in Summer 2014 and will be giving the second performance of the nocturne - plus another Armitage premiere - during his time in Birmingham.
